Phi Mu Crowns a Champion: Celebrating Service, Sisterhood, and Smiles During National Volunteer Week
Phi Mu’s legacy of service and sisterhood shined brightly this semester as the members of the University of South Alabama chapter poured their hearts into making a difference for local kids and families treated at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital.
During National Volunteer Week, the sisters of Phi Mu showed us what it means to lead with heart. In a touching tribute held at the Panda Cares Center of Hope, they honored our 2025 Champion, DeVyn, in a way she’ll never forget.
With warmth, joy, and genuine kindness, Phi Mu welcomed DeVyn into their sisterhood—celebrating her courage and crowning her with a tiara to reflect the light she brings to the world. Her photo, now proudly displayed on the Wall of Champions, stands as a symbol of hope, strength, and the power of community.

What made this moment even more special was the personal care Phi Mu poured into every detail. They gifted DeVyn with a collection of her favorite things and surrounded her with encouragement, smiles, and laughter—creating a memory as radiant as the girl at the center of it all.
At USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital, we are reminded every day that miracles start here. But when young women come together to uplift and inspire, those miracles take on new meaning. Thank you, Phi Mu, for being part of ours.
