Local Business “Month of Miracles” Makes a Big Impact
In a heartwarming display of community spirit, South Nutrition has embraced their role as a dedicated partner of Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) with their “Month of Miracles” campaign. Owned by Jerome and Rebecca Lockwood, South Nutrition responded with enthusiasm when asked to create a special drink lineup to support USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital.
Throughout August, South Nutrition introduced “Maci’s Lil’ Miracles,” a vibrant collection of drinks featuring flavors like passion fruit, strawberry, pineapple, peach, and cherry. Each purchase of these specially crafted drinks contributes to CMN, supporting the crucial work of USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital.
Jerome and Rebecca’s commitment to this cause is deeply personal. Their (now adult) daughter was born prematurely, giving them a profound understanding of the importance of children’s hospitals. This personal connection fueled their dedication to creating a lineup that honors Maci, our local CMN Champion, and supports the hospital’s mission. South Nutrition’s success story is a shining example of how local businesses can make a meaningful impact.
How Other Local Businesses Can Get Involved
If you’re inspired to contribute to our cause, here are some ways your business can get involved:
- Host a Fundraising Event: Organize an event where a portion of your sales supports CMN. It can be as simple as a special promotion or a themed event.
- Create a Special Product or Menu Item: Develop a product or menu item dedicated to CMN, like South Nutrition’s “Maci’s Lil’ Miracles,” and donate a portion of the proceeds.
- Promote CMN Through Your Channels: Use your social media, website, or in-store displays to promote CMN and encourage your customers to support the cause.
- Partner for Events: Collaborate with us on future events or initiatives, bringing your unique touch to fundraising efforts.
We are eager to work with more local businesses to create partnerships that support our mission and benefit children in need. For more information on how your business can get involved, please contact Senora McCracken, CMN Program Manager, at smccracken@southalabama.edu.
Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of children in our community. Thank you for your support!
